




Scenario:
We have an existing WEBCON BPS databases on SQL Server, however Sharepoint Server with WEBCON BPS components do not exist (after a disaster).
The object is to install a fresh Sharepoint Server, install WEBCON BPS components and connect to an existing WEBCON BPS databases.
Steps to follow:
- Install Sharepoint Server on a fresh machine
- Install WEBCON BPS components using BPS installer
Check prerequisites for WEBCON BPS and click “Next”
Choose “Advanced Installation” mode
Choose correct components for your installation (choose all components).
Choose Sharepoint Web Application for feature activation and click “Next” to install WEBCON BPS components
Set an appropriate SQL Server connection parameters.
Set WEBCON BPS Database language settings and databases owner and click “Next”
On “Farm configuration database creation” step click “Skip”
On “Database connection configuration” screen use “Load” button to choose WEBCON BPS database you want to use in a fresh installation. Afterwards click “Next”
Installer shows you content databases configuration stored in configuration database – click “Skip” button
Installer shows you attachments databases configuration stored in configuration database – click “Skip” button
Choose (or create a new one) Sharepoint Site you want to use for WEBCON BPS
Set WEBCON BPS Workflows Service parameters (user, site, roles)
Click “Next”, start the service, and it is done.
